Vibrant Australia is a piece of the jigsaw – our plan is to create a community that brings together communities for a common purpose – farmers, processors, manufacturers, retailers, health & education professionals, and those who genuinely believe in creating an enriched rural community that provides desired opportunities of employment, cultural experience and wealth.

Of the 22.6 million Australians, there are 2.4 million people living in rural Australia. Our 192 600 farmers live on 134 000 farms. These farms are overwhelmingly (99%) family owned and each farm produces enough food to feed 600 people.

Our farmers produce 93% of Australia's domestic food supply and are significant exporters to China, Japan and ASEAN countries. 

As environmental stewards, our farmers own, manage, and care for 61% of Australian's landmass. They are considered innovative, technologically savvy and entrepreneurial. Our farmers use natural resources as efficiently as current know-how and technology allows.

Leading the reduction in climate change, our farmers have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 40%, more than any other sector, industry or population in Australia.
